Ibiza

Menorca

The second largest island of the Balearic Islands with the shape of a boomerang, still remains a rural island with wooded fields, ravines and hills in the middle of its two principal - but small - towns of Maó and Ciutadella. Mallorca

Formentera

Not far from the town of Ibiza, Formentera is the smallest of the four islands of the Balearics. It measures only 20 km from the East to the West. The past history of the island of Formentera is more or less identical to the one of Ibiza during almost 300 years. The island is still very arride and mainly covered with rosemary which grows everywhere in a wild way; the island is also populated with thousands of small lizards which live in the rather dry places of the island. The island currently live from tourism (more particularly of German, Italian and English tourism) way of benefitting from Spanish environment, beaches, but which are far from being as populated as the spanish coasts. The lack of fresh water does not allow the good development of the infrastructures of the island, there are only around forty “hostel” and hotels in the whole island. The majority the visitors come here to rest during one day or two. The island of Formentera offers you the most beautiful beaches of the archipelago, an extraordinary landscape, and beaches with transparent water. Formentera is the ideal destination if you are looking for a place to rest. Capital : La Savina. Population :6120 inhabitants.
